Hi,

I had 2 Macbook Pro (13),One is purchased in Mid 2009 (Intel Core2duo) and another in Mid 2011(Intel i5).

I lost Install/Restore Discs provided apple for Mid 2011(Intel i5) machine but i have Install/Restore Discs for Mid 2009 (Intel Core2duo).

Can i use Mid 2009 (Intel Core2duo) disc to restore Mid 2011(Intel i5).

Can i use one set to Restore/Install both the machines or do i need to purchase a new set...

Can any one please give me price estimation

Thanks in advance

No, you cannot use the grey restore disks that came with one model to restore another model. Are you sure your Mid 2011 came with disks? Mine didn't, because it came with Lion. If you're running Lion, you use either the Recovery Partition (if available) or Lion Internet Recovery, or you can make a Lion flash drive installer if you choose.

If the machine came with Snow Leopard, you can call Apple to order replacement disks for a nominal charge, usually $10-15.
