Apple MacBook Pro Early 2011 Charger Overheating

I have apple MacBook Pro 2.2 GHZ i7 Quad Core. I usually use my machine with charger plugged in the main. I have noticed that my apple charge is very hot to touch.

Please tell me is it normal for any apple charger or mine have some issues? Can it cause some fire or other problem in my flat with this heat?

It's quite normal for it to get hot to the touch. It won't melt or cause a fire or harm anything.
