I can tell you that my previous macbook was that unit but with the higher 2.5ghz processor and my new base 2.3ghz MBPr is noticeably faster. I think the SSD is the primary reason - the step up to the new gen processor is slightly better but the SSD really kills it. I'm really happy with my upgrade
