Saw a deal for the MacBook Pro with Retina display for only $1299 after all discounts from Best Buy. The deal is using a student promotion to take another $100 off the price of the laptop. This could save someone $200!

Best buy keeps running this promo on and off, last time it was $1399 before student discount was 2-3 weeks ago. I thought it was a good deal and also bought one.

to compensate for tax you can get some back by signing up for best buy rewards and using cash back portals...

was deciding between the base rmbp and 256 GB mba and now this deal

it's more than i wanted to spend and can't decide if it's worth it...

I had looked at that too. The main reason I went with new over refurbished is that my credit card doubles the warranty to 2 years on new items, but not if it's refurbished.
