Today I bought Magic Trackpad in black version and I am wondering if surface of external Magic Trackpad is more tough than surface of Macbook Pro 14 I have.

When I use trackpad on Macbook it is more like glass but when I scroll on external, it is like scrolling through screenshield.
It is possible that they are different? Or can it be that the Magic Trackpad is new?

Is the white version the same as black?

Thanks guys

It might just be because it's new and doesn't have years of finger oils? I just felt my Magic Trackpad which is about 7 years old and my new M1 Pro MBP and the MacBook's trackpad feels a bit "rougher". Maybe it is just a different material though.

I have just replaced my iMac and have the new Trackpad. It feels silky smooth and I can't feel any real difference with the old one, which I still have and am feeling them side by side.
The only real change, for me anyway, is that the angle is less on the new one, and as I have wrist problems have had to raise it slightly at the back.

I read a lot of topics and I think this is truw and it will fix after month of usage.
To be honest, I returned it and bought another one and it is the same.
