Apple Mail addon for menubar notification?

Hi..
Im no more using the Dock menu , since the Lion upgrade.

Just have one problem, that Im not able to know my Apple Mail Status.

So, is there an addon, which can tell me, how many unread emails are there by checking in every x mins or seconds, etc.



Let me know.

Only asking the Lion users, who have seen such an addon and got it working.

I do not know about a menu bar option, but I use Growl Mail which pops up a notification box whenever a new mail comes in, this will come up even over full screen apps and flash paying videos in full screen.

I do know there is a Safari extension for gmail that will display home many unread messages are in your gmail account if that is what you are using, but this will only show in Safari.

On a sidenote, Growlmail does not work for me and many others on a clean install of Lion. I am using Herald until they get it sorted out.

There is an update to Growl Mail that enables it to work as normal under Lion.

Post a link to this update, all I am aware of is 1.3.
1.3 works when you upgrade to Lion, but does not work on a clean install of Lion. I have tried this now on 7 different Macs.

Ah I didn't clean install, but I thought it was a different version from 1.3. I'll check when I am home this evening and post.
