for some reason when I receive images into my .mac account and I open it through Apple Mail, it starts to lag big time, it gets confused, it can't open the image, it takes way too long and when I try to quit the app it crashes and I have to force quit, it gets so bad now I have to access it over the web to delete the pictures so Apple mail won't crash again, how can I fix this? I have a powerbook g4 with 1 gig of memory...thanks

Is this for all images, just one specific image, or one image type (JPG, BMP or whatever)? :)
well the only images I receive so far are JPG...

Does it act the same with other attachments? Sorry for all the questions but aside from ridiculously slow .Mac speeds, you shouldn't be having this sort of problem.

no, I don't mind all the questions doctor :D
well yea, it's only images, I get powerpoint slides, quicktime movies, sound files, and Mail handles them well, it's really weird

Have you modified, moved or deleted Preview from the Applications folder?

If it's not too much hassle, maybe start a new account and see whether Mail is still having troubles there. :)

hey Mad Jew, thank you so much, I recall you have also helped me in the past, I really appreciate this! what I did was deleted all the accounts and set them up again, works perfectly, thank you so much :)
