Apple Mail and Yahoo Integration

I have been running Yahoo on my Apple Mail with pop settings but just suddenly since last night, I can't retrieve my mail anymore.

Everything has remained the same. No changes have been made.

Anyone know what happened or is everyone facing this problem?

I use: pop.mail.yahoo.com
Port 110
No SSL
Authentication: Password.

Any ideas?

What are the merits of running my (paid) Yahoo Mail account thru MAIL program as opposed to just using web interface?

And if I use the web interface, how can you get Yahoo Mail notifications? Do you have to run (I hope not) Messenger?
