First off any help is greatly appreciated in advance. as many of us sadly live/die by our email I'd say this has caused quite the headache for me of late.

I have noticed a new behavior in the weeks past where Apple Mail is now placing all of my gmail mail into the "archive" folder instead of the Gmail [All Mail] folder as in the past. Aside from being odd, this makes searching mail impossible as they're effectively invisible to search. I have about 600k messages that are all now residing in the Archive folder and non in Gmail's All Mail. I've also logged into the gmail web app and they're no longer there as well [not in all mail, nor is there an archive folder there]

Any idea what I've done? I've used Gmail with Apple Mail successfully for years but I must have changed something.

here's my current imap and mail settings,
one note, I do "archive" messages instead of "deleting" them (as this had caused issues in the past) is that perhaps an issue?
