When I received email in the Apple Mail primary Inbox attachments download just fine. However, if I receive an email that has a rule set up and the email goes to my designated mailbox for that sender, the attachment icon says "downloading" but the document or picture file never actually downloads.
If found if I turn off the rules in Apple Mail and the sender re-sends the email, I open the attachment from within the primary Inbox. That will work for now, but it very inconvenient since I get a lot of email and many with attachments and use a lot of rules. If anyone discovers a better way to fix the issue, please let me know. This bug never happened before until I installed High Sierra. The latest update did not fix the problem either.
