Ever since I got my new rMBP Mail seems to not stop causing a significant CPU load for not really doing anything. Right now 24% and it never really drops below 20% sometimes goes up to 40%. Percentages as activity monitor counts them so it is like 8-10% overall but still way too much for Mail.

Mail activity doesn't show anything. It had to reload all mails once but that was days ago. Now there is like a couple new mails per day.
It is listed as the third top energy consumer after Chrome and VLC right now.

Does anybody have the same issue or anybody any idea how to fix it? I truly don't understand what it actually is doing.

It is just one POP3 mailbox and one IMAP.

Update: Never mind I just tried something really simple, I didn't think of before. Disabling both accounts stopped the CPU load and it didn't return when reenabling both. I just hope it doesn't return on reboot because the problem persisted through a dozen of reboots.
