Apple Mail deleted all my email!

I shut down my computer because I was going out of town for a week. I got back last night and turned on the machine, went to open Mail and everything was gone. All my email accounts were no longer configured, the saved emails I had were gone. However, I checked [username] > Library > Mail and all my information is still there, but just not showing up in the actual Mail program for some reason.

Does anyone know how I can recover my accounts in the actual Apple Mail program?

I'm on a 24" iMac with OSx 10.5.5.
