This is hard to explain.
1. I have a Smart Mailbox.
2. I create a rule that includes "Bob" in that Smart Mailbox using the "from" option.
3. I select "include messages from Sent".
If I'm correct, then only emails FROM Bob will be displayed in that Smart Mailbox. If I change the rule from "from" to "any recipient", then it will display emails FROM Bob as well as TO Bob (i.e; my emails sent to him). This means that the full conversation with Bob is in that Smart folder.
Yes?
If I'm correct, then is there a way to get Apple Mail to display Bob as the sender in the email list to the left? If I reply to Bob, then I am listed and Bob isn't. This is where Gmail has the upper hand because both Bob and I are shown (where person who replied last is in bold).
If I reply to all the messages, then all I see is my name and not Bob's. This gets a little confusing if there are others besides Bob.
Does this make sense?
