Apple mail Gmail folder

Hey.
I just set up mail 2.0 (tiger) to get all my gmail messages...
But it shows this annoying mailbox called 'Gmail'...I've already done this process before and it didn't show this box, there was just the INBOX...
Here is a pic.
Can someone please help me so i only have the inbox like before?

Multiple threads and bumps are annoying and against forum rules.

You probably used to have gmail set up as a POP3 account and now have it set up as an IMAP account. If you do want to keep it set up as an IMAP account, and just make it so the GMAIL folder does not show up in mail, there is a module in the Gmail labs called "Advanced IMAP Settings" or something.

Log into Gmail. Click on Settings. Then the Labs tab. Then enable the advanced IMAP settings and save your changes. After that, you should be able to go to the Labels tab and decide which labels are visible via IMAP.

OMG thank you soo much. FINALLY!
THe only probleme is that the inbox can't be unchecked...
