Hey there people, I'm in a bit of a dilemma. You see the apple mail has stopped working. I used the mail app via Gmail POP settings, and each time I open up the application, it asks me for the POP settings (like it would do the first time you open mail). For some reason, I just can't get it to stop. Somehow, I think the settings are corrupt. Is there anyone who knows if it is okay to delete everything in the User>Library>Mail folder, and then start again?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!

:)

Your messages local messages will be lost, but yes it safe to delete that folder. I would also delete mail-related .plist files in ~/Library/Prefrences. eg com.apple.Mail.plist.
