Apple Mail not deleting already recieved mails?

Hey good people..

Got my mac a little week ago. I did a reinstall of OS X today, and set up my mail again. When checked for mail, it also recieved old mails I already did recieve earlier. WTF..?? Does Apple mail not delete it from the mail server?

I can't find any settings for this in the preferences..

I can't find any settings for this in the preferences..

There is an option in Mail preferences to delete mail immediately, weekly, or monthly from the server once it's downloaded. It'll be under each account.
