Apple Mail out of sync

I am using Apple Mail on my Mac Version 2.1 (752/752.2) and my mail seems to be out of sync, mail I sent weeks and months ago say that I sent them today etc.. anyone ever run into this ?

So how do you corect this ?

Try contacting your server? If it's Gmail or something that might be a little hard. (Gmail has been delaying messages for me too, especially last night)
