Running 10.5.5, if I try to add an RSS feed to mail it brings up the drop down confirming the feed, but after i click ok the box stays and continues to spin its "gear". Have verified that its not just a single feed, and I have repaired permissions. I have googled for a week now trying to figure out a fix to this without having to reinstall leopard. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Appreciate the reply :) But I have tried 10 -15 different pages that offer RSS from Apple to ESPN they all hang at the add screen.

Yeah I verified it, and i did have netnewswire installed and thought maybe that was the problem so I app zapped it and the problem remains. I guess if I cant find a solution I will go back to a RSS reader, just wanted to use Mail's due to the fact that I always have it open anyways. Thanks again!

Well, you can always use safari for reading RSS!

You may also consider Archive and Install Leopard.

I was trying to avoid that, but I thought removing mail and reinstalling with pacifist may work however I have no idea were all the mail files are contained in OS X?

I guess that you can app zap it and then insert the grey cd that came with your computer and then install Mail from there. After that you can use SU to update
Mail. But i haven't done that. It's just from what i've seen in the forums. Maybe
you should wait until someone confirms it or do it at your own risk.

Not with deleting apps.

Look, the way i mentioned came from other posts and similar problems people had. Anyway. Good luck!:D
