Hi All,

I can't add a link to an image in my email signature on apple email.

I used to be able to insert a png image into the signature and add a link (cmd+k / edit>add a link) to create a clickable image in my signature.

Everything works fine (text hyperlink works, the images show up in my signature), but the link won't save.
If I close my mail preference window and open it again to see my signature, the link is gone.

This used to work, so if I click the image from my older sent emails, it's still clickable and the hyperlink still works, but it doesn't anymore starting recently.

After a fair amount of a research, I realized that there have been/are a lot of bugs on the latest OS Mojave, especially on apple mail, but I haven't found a single thread about the current issue, hence the thread.
(Also has anyone found a resolution to a constant "login failed symbol" issue? I am still having this problem and it'd really help)

Thank you

This is long shot, but what is your message format setting in the Composing tab of Preferences? Is it Rich text?

I do not use this and, actually, I would not be unhappy this option completely disappeared. This whole attach image, make it clickable, point to arbitrary web page with virus or 4k movie or whatever - and ideally open automatically, when e-mail is downloaded, without user interaction... All steps which smell ugly and go towards spamming/virus distribution. Call me old, but Mail should be as simple text as possible, light weight and not open for abuse. Mail which is basically huge web page, links hidden behind pictures, movies playing within e-mail, all just ripe for abuse. If there needs to be link, let's make clear it is link and where it points.
