Apple Mail

I 'm not sure if this should go in the iPhone section or what, so please forgive me I this post is in the wrong place. I wonder if anyone knows if there's something wrong with Apple Mail because I have a Gmail account and if I use the Gmail App my email notifies me from my iPhone to my Apple Watch. But if I insert it in the Apple mail it doesn't. Apparently, all third party email apps with an apple watch notifier in them alert me but not Apple mail. I wonder if anyone can help, please?

Go to settings, Notifications, then mail.

You will notice you can set up notifications for each mail account. Sounds like you have them turned on for your gmail account but not the Apple one.

Yes I realise that but it asks you to put your email in in notification in Apple mail
