Apps Apple Map "Home" question

New watch owner here! I notice on the Apple Map app that in order to use the "Home" button on the map app, my home address must be in the phones contact list under "home". Okay makes sense.

Problem is, I have my address properly in the contact list under "home" but when I try using this "Home" button feature on the watch all I get is the notification that I need to set my home contact on my phone.

Any thoughts on why it doesn't recognize my home address?

I was just setting up my new watch and found where you had to list your "home" address on the map app. It say's to go to your iPhone contact list and do it there but it doesn't explain the rest. I ended up figuring it out by accident. Apparently it's a known problem/confusion for many people.
