iPhone 7/Plus Apple maps navigation data hog

guys - I consistently use up 30mb of data for a 1 hour trip using apple maps. Any way for me to measure an exact app's data - I'm quite sure it's all apple maps since I have the chat applications set to only download pictures, etc when connected to wifi

Settings > Cellular Then scroll down and look at the entries under Cellular Data.

I have read elsewhere about 5mb per hour or less. Forget where, you can Google it-----
