Apple Maps on the Mac?

Is there any way to view the new Apple Maps in iOS 6 on the Mac?

I hope they ultimately offer equivalent functionality to Googles Maps on the desktop including My Places/Maps and ideally the ability to sync map pins across all your Macs and iDevices via iCloud.

I think the only option currently would be to use the iOS simulator from XCode. That's not really intended for actually using, though, and wouldn't have the kind of functionality you're describing.
