Iphone 12, latest ios of 18.4. I am having a bit of a problem that just started yesterday. I do courier work and the company’s courier app will have an address with an icon to click then it will open a blank page in Safari and then it would open Apple maps with that address. Now it will only open the Apple web map beta or what ever its called. So once the courier app opens Safari, the Apple maps web beta just stays on screen and doesn’t open the actual Apple maps app. Its annoying to say the least. And after 20+ deliveries and addresses, each time the web map just produces an error and no mapping of the address. So its useless. Any idea of how to revert it back to opening Apple maps? Its driving me a little crazy.

Apple maps won’t open, just leads to Apple web app beta

I would start with resetting Safari. Clear history and website data in Settings. And disable any Safari extensions. See if it starts working again. If not, try changing your default browser and see if that helps.
Just tried that and no dice
okay so now it’s working again? So strange.
