Am i the only one who actually likes the maps? I have had no issues with the service and actually think its quite great. Granted google maps was better but i dont find apple maps horrible.

I like it , used it today to get home

But i don't need gps that often

I didn't even know the previews maps app had streetview till recently

In my mind the old maps program was really 2 programs in 1:

1) A map that told you exactly how to get somewhere and showed you where you were along the way.

2) A search tool that helped you find stuff.

The new maps really is terrible at #2. No question there. But, interestingly enough, it is really amazing at #1! I really love this program as a map program.

So, yeah, it's weird. The new maps is a big failure on the one half, but on the other half is a vast improvement.

I agree with you on number 2. I have used maps to search out where the nearest location of something is located.

+1. And would add that while someone living where it's flat wouldn't care, in the mountains the 3D feature is really cool. It's like having GoogleEarth views from within the maps app.
