Apple Maps

Hi. New to Macs & i've just gone & bought an imac 27". Trying to get to know my way around it better. One thing I noticed was that on my iphone5 & ipad4 I have apple maps software yet I don't get that on the mac? Why is that & can I download it from anywhere as I can't seem to find it in the App store? Any help most appreciated. Ta.

There is no Apple Maps for the Mac.

There is no Apple maps on the app store, I would use www.google.com/maps.
