Had serious battery issues with 3gs and received replacement on Friday. Under new Apple policy, still have old phone for a couple of days, luckily enough.
The applecare person taking my details took down a wrong serial number for my old phone and mistakenly sent me a UK compatible iphone instead of irish one.
I now have two iphones, one barely working and the other can't activate.
Apple technician apologized but explained nothing can be done until middle of next week. I asked for a proper replacement but he said that wasn't possible.
