Would be very handy for the wife and one of the sons if true. I'd never use it.

We will see offline dictation with either the iPhone 5S or 6. Book it.

I hope so because Siri in its current form sucks when trying to use it on long journeys where reception is spotty for a lot of the time.

As someone who uses dictation a lot (and fortunate to have an accent that Siri seems to understand 95%+ of the time) I was very pleased to read that this may be an upcoming feature.

And then reached the end of the article and the speculation that it might be a 5S only feature . . .

That would be frustrating.
