Hi Guys,

I was at the Apple store this weekend and stumbled onto their mini VGA to S-Video/Composite video adapter. It was cheap so I picked it up and took it home to my G3 ibook (white 12", not the colorful ones). I hooked it up the ibook, then the TV (Aquos 32" HD) via a composite video cord and started the ibook. No picture. I restarted the ibook a few times, adjusted the screen resolution and still no picture.

I then started the ibook without the adapter and hooked the adapter up once the ibook was running. The screen on the ibook dimmed and came back quickly, but no video on the TV. Anyone have any ideas? I'm not sure where to start.

Thanks.

Stealth,

I think I did buy it between those dates. June 2001 is most likely.

So what do I need?

Sorry for the confusion guys. I have a 500 mhz G3 ibook. mkrishnan's guess is correct. I had no idea what I thought was just a 1/8th inch audio jack was actually a composite audio/video jack a la the ipod video.

Thanks guys.
