Yesterday, about an hour before my pickup time, I noticed my transaction for my AirPods was marked as "canceled" and the money returned to my account. But when it was time to pickup, I was able to do so with no issues. It even says in the app that the order has been picked up?

Is it best for me to contact Apple Support now? Should I wait? I'm not too sure what to do yet.

It's extremely simple. Just ask yourself if you are honest or a thief. I'm concerned that you even had to ask the question.

A while back the person that delivered a Mac Studio computer from the store screwed up and my charge for it was reversed. I immediately called Apple, explained what happened and told them to redo the charge. They did and thanked me.

I vaguely remember this happening to me with an iPhone a few years back. I'm pretty sure Apple just charged my card a few days later in the end. Which I suspected they would.

I'd just leave it for now and don't spend that money. Almost certainly there will be no moral decision to be made and you'll notice the charge pop up eventually.

I don’t have any bad intentions, I just wasn’t sure if I should wait for them to try charging again or telling support ASAP. But I will be contacting support now to let them know. Thank you

Understood. Sorry for attaching any negativity to my post. You asked a reasonable question. I didn't want it hanging over my head and waiting, so I just went ahead and resolved it right away.

No worries! All that matters is I was able to fix the issue, so we’re all good.

Same thing happened to me when I bought a Mac some time ago. The transaction was reversed, and when I contacted Apple they told me that it would reappear in due course. It did.

Funny story. A buddy of mine was checking out at a store. The cashier accidentally rang up 2 items as one and he got a pretty expensive item “free”. Him and his wife laughed about it while leaving and headed home. On the way home they blew out a tire. He said karma got him while telling me the story. lol

Yes, same thing happened to me in the past with an iPhone purchased from Apple. Even after I picked it up it sill showed ready for pickup for about two months and then the payments (iPhone upgrade program) began.
