So I plug in my ipad to my computer with itunes open and a window pops up and says 'this iPad can not be used because the apple mobile device service has not been started Had been working previously. What gives?

Assuming you're on a Windows machine.

Try going into Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services and then look for Apple Mobile Device. When you've found it, double click on it and where it says Startup Type, make sure it's set to Automatic. That should hopefully be where your problem is.

Post again if not :)

Apple Mobile Service does not shows up on Windows Service tool

I have installed the last iTunes, Disable antivirus, re-installed AppleMobileServiceSupport64.msi...but the AMS does not shows on the service list of windows.

PS. When i plug in the iphone to the PC i get the normal sound on windows when a USB device is connected but then i get a second sound usually meaning something like "Wrong"
