Apple Music is facing an ongoing outage, according to Apple's System Status page. The downtime started at 2:26 p.m. Eastern Time, and has not yet been resolved.

Apple says that some users may be experiencing intermittent issues with the service, though it does not appear to be malfunctioning for all users.

We'll update this article when the issue has been resolved.

Update: As of 4:20 p.m. Eastern Time, Apple says the issue has been fixed.

All of my music is on apple cloud. None are in my local drive. I have not experienced an outage yet.

It’s obviously working now, but during the outage there were radio stations that weren’t operating properly; I could get the 80’s hits station to play but the 90’s hits station wouldn’t play.

I've been encountering a thing where Music looks like its playing but there seems to be a lag or no volume as it's trying to figure out if Music is playing on a nearby iPad or iFone. So I quit Music and click iTunes and boom Instant Tunes Playing! (Also with iTunes The Music is "mine" and saved on my Drive.

Is anyone else getting the "No Internet Connection" error when trying to browse Apple Music or the App Store? My iPhone and iPad are definitely connected to the internet because everything else works. Toggling airplane mode and restarting my devices do nothing to fix it either.

Meanwhile my local libraries continue to work despite Tim's repeated attempts to make me abandon them.

Did not face any issue in the last 24 hours. Hope that the issue has been fully fixed by now.

Discovered that my YouTube Premium account gives me not just ad free YouTube but YouTube Music for free so I cancelled Apple Music and couldn't be happier. :)

The biggest issue with Apple Music is it tries to combine local library library management with a streaming app.

They should've left local library management in 2015, spun off iTunes and let people who still want to faff about with downloads deal with that.
