I suppose this is a warning to both parents as well as kids with attentive parents... this morning my wife was playing some songs for my 5yo and 10yo daughters on Apple Music while they were getting ready for school. She had searched for Dolly Parton and played 'Watch Me Shine' by Emily Shackleton... quite literally the 'Girl Scout Anthem' and somehow Apple Music autoplay recommends and plays 'Ejaculate in Mary's Mouth' by 'Satanic Slut' from their 'Sexual Satanic Devotion' album.

I've subscribed to various music services over the years (e.g. Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, etc.) and listen to all kinds of NSFW music and never once have I seen anything this crude and vulgar recommended after even the most hardcore gangster rap or heavy metal songs. The most 'adult' music you'll find in my wife's history is Willie Nelson, The Highwaymen, John Denver and maybe a Beck song. I shouldn't need to enable parental controls on my wife's account to prevent this sort of fringe schlock from getting recommended and auto-played on her account after such benign selections like Emily Shackleton, Dolly Parton and various kids songs.

I think maybe the name Shackleton got mixed up with ejaculate. Play around with the word sound. Not joking, maybe an error in typing in or in Siri if that was the input. . In any event a big error no doubt. I think there maybe a “No naughty words/lyrics” in settings that can be applied.

Lol that’s awful. How did it go past the explicit filter. Afaik it would normally be turned on by default.

Anyway, for this exact reason I would use my own playlists I’ve created over the years. Or leave it to Spotify: Apple Music is very immature when it comes to seamless, smooth playlists. Despite all the advertised AI bloat, it seems to make weird recommendations.

Better use Spotify next time you turn music for your child, as well as choose some electronic, non-vocal music to prevent these nasty encounters
