Apple Music Library and Apple Music?

Hi All,

I've not properly tried this yet so I apologise if it's glaringly obvious.

I have managed to pull an old library of music from an iPod Nano I bought years ago, I have added this to an external hard drive and synced with my MacBook Pro.

Is there a way to sync the music with my iPhone and it not mess up my Apple Music playlists etc
