I’ve been getting this all day. Trying to play anything on the HomePod. By asking hey Siri play The muppets, AC/DC and any other band. The HomePod comes back and says just a sec, taking longer and eventually times out. Other times it says, one moment. And doesn’t say anything.

If I ask Siri the weather i get a response immediately. So it must be an issue with HomePod and Apple Music.

anyone else notice this today?

Yep, same here......tried turning Homepod off and on (turning of power, waiting a couple of minutes then turning back on), made no difference.

finally fixed it. Had to reboot the HomePod using my iPhone. Once I rebooted it this way I can play music by asking siri. Strange but it works.
Tried that on mine, didn’t work.......
What did work however was removing the voice recognition for my wife who was shared on the Home app, still recognises me and my daughter but plays up if I turn the recognition on for my wife?
Hopefully Apple will sort soon, but the main thing is music works again!😁
