So since apple music came out, ive been downloading music to my iphone since. I recently got new music on my computer and i would like to add the files to my iphone.. If i sync my iphone to my computer, will i lose all the music i downloaded from apple music on my phone? thanks.

You can't mix and match AM/iCML with traditional iTunes syncing. You would need to enable AM/iCML on your Mac (and all Apple iDevices) too. Then all music will be synced across all devices and platforms.

You can use a PC also. Not sure exactly where the settings are in Windows but this is what it looks like in OS X.
