I’ve run into an issue I can’t seem to figure out.

A little background. I’m using a 12.9 iPad Pro, iPhone 11Pro Max and Apple Watch Series5 TI. About 6 years ago I moved to Apple from Android. I have over a thousand songs that I uploaded to Google Play (Now YouTube Music) from CDs. There was also some purchased music. I’ve been trying to move my music from YouTube to Apple so I can add some of it to my Watch play list.

I tried an app called “Freeyourmusic”. It seemed to being working okay however when the transfer was complete, some of the songs did not transfer. Others songs were transferred but a different version from what I uploaded to YouTube ended up in Apple Music. I also got a bunch of useless crap music downloaded into Apple during the transfer.

I spent an hour today deleting albums and songs I absolutely did not want.

It’s very frustrating. Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

One question on the same subject. Does Apple Music add songs to your Library that they feel you want?? If so, how do I stop that? I seem to keep getting the occasional odd songs in my library that I know I didn’t download.

I would like to read what you said but to me that’s the wall of text. Would you please edit it and add some paragraphs? I’m sure I won’t be alone in not being able to read that particularly comfortably.
Thank you StumpyBloke. I typed that very late at night. Didn’t realize I was babbling. It is now edited. Hope it makes sense 🙀🙀

Thanks, I can read it now

Just wondering if iTunes Match would help you upload your music library to the cloud. It’s a subscription model and I think it’s about £22 a year, which I guess would be $22 a year. Not sure if it would help but might be worth you having a look?

Thanks. I’ve not heard of that. I’ll give it a try. Is it an app in the store or a subscription service? YouTube Music offers a watch app but to use it I have to get a “Premier” subscription at $13/mo. I’m not going to pay to listen to music I already paid for!!!

Okay. Thanks again. I have Apple One Premier. It’s my understanding Music Match is included with that. I’ll dig around and see if it lets me transfer music from YouTube. I don’t have a Desktop or Laptop just IPad Pro 12.9, IPhone 11 Pro Max and watch Series5 TI.
