An 11am PST Media event from Apple is expected to bring software announcements today at the National Association of Broadcasters.

Coverage for the event is limited. At present there appear to be two sources for the event.

Apple's booths at NAB are reportedly covered with black sheets as well as covered banners.

We will continue to update this story to reflect the latest information.

PowerMacs?

I think this'll be the event for the new Powermacs to debut, dual-core an' all. Apple is so classy, "black sheets and banners."

The apple-x site is taking for ever to load probobly becuase of heavy traffic.

TMA Thanks for the transation i had to copy and paste the whole thing to a translation site. It was quite time conusming.

My prediction:
Software only.
New PowerMacs tomorrow... no dual core.

I just went to the Apple Store order status page and it says the store is down for a scheduled maintenance. Maybe getting ready for some new products?

It's beyond forever now! Not loading at all.

So do the black sheets look like they're covering powerbook sized objects or powermac sized objects?

Greetings Fellow Geeks

Does anyone else feel a little embarrassed staring at a computer screen on a Sunday? Someone help me.

Ok.......I have inside information and I know exactly what's under the black sheets. It's....... LONGHORN. Yes. Its true. Apple and MicroSoft are merging and a new world dominating Operating System will prevail: Tigerhorn. :D

So it's just the UK store down?............. its been offline qute a few times recently and nothing has cahnged.

Stores Down

From what I see almost all the European stores are currently down
first announcement: Final Pro Studio
it includes FCP5 and will natively support HDV format
