Apple News+ downloads don’t work

Have an Apple news+ subscription and the automatic downloads for the magazines I follow don’t happen. There’s also no way to manually download them - the menu item to download the issue simply isn’t there. The download option is there for magazine I don’t follow which is strange. This is happening across all of my devices. Running iOS 13.1.2.

Anyone else seeing this behavior? Any solutions?
