Apple News Setup

Anyone having issues setting up Apple news? I am in the US. I first setup up News on my iPad mini, everything seemed to go just fine. On both my iPad Air and iPhone 6 I keep getting the spinning circle on the bottom of the white start screen. I have tried restarting the device and force closing the app, but i can't seem to get beyond the white start screen.
