Apple news storage related ?

I have a iPhone 6s and I keep track of my storage pretty good considering I have the 16gb model but my question is I been losing storage slightly little by little every day and I wanted to see if it was the apple news app since I use it often to read but when I checked in storage it's not there, so I have no clue how much storage it's taking up on my phone. I was wondering if anybody knew how to check it or find out or what I can do??
