Today I got an email form apple saying my icloud storage was almost full. I already knew that but I looked at it anyway. It has instructions to upgrade my storage plan for ios 8 and Mac OS X, but not ios 7. It's the same on ios 7, but I thought it was funny that they only say ios 8.

Odd.

Being that iOS8 is not yet an Official Release, this is a bone-headed oversight by whoever is responsible at Apple. Betas don't count as official releases.

That was because he was on iCloud Drive. The message actually says iCloud Drive in it, I just checked.

It's because you upgraded to iCloud Drive. Even though its a beta, they probably still want to send you the appropriate information.

I don't have ios 8. I don't even have a developer account. The only beta I got was the Yosemite public beta.

My mum received a similar email yesterday. Can't remember whether iCloud drive was mentioned in the email but it definitely had instructions for iOS 8 and she's definitely using iOS 7 + Mavericks.
