Universal Apple Notes - iCloud/local features

Hi macrumors community,
i am relying heavily on iOS notes and I am using it since i got the first iPod touch 10 years ago.
my favorite feature is the sync to my imap mail account. Unfortunately all new pencil/scanning/formatting features are only usable with local storage or iCloud.
is there any way to use notes with your own infrastructure via imap oder activeSync? Or are those features limited to local/iCloud only?
