Ordered 6s Plus At&T on Pre-Order day. Went to preparing for shipping and got the following notice tonight that the order was cancelled .

I don't have anything ordered on my wireless account. We do have two phones that are on the Next program and are at their last payment. All lines on the shared plan account show eligible for upgrade. This phone was on a line that has long been eligible for upgrade.

Anyone else get something like this? Strange that it would go through on pre order day and wait until ready for shipping to cancel. It does show cancelled on my Apple Account.

No, it is a 6s Plus 32 GB that should have been delivered tomorrow.

Strange. Have not heard of this before. Try contacting Apple and verify the reason. I would be interested to see why they cancelled on you. Did Apple cancel the order or AT&T?

OK, this is officially a mess. Had a watch ordered as well, showing preparing for delivery in two weeks, and now it has been cancelled unilaterally. Very weird.

Maybe something to do with your form of payment or lack of funds. Apple uses an authorized hold on your account first, in order to ensure the funds are available. They wouldn't just cancel your Watch order for nothing.

I just checked my account and all of the CC information is correct. You can see the notice above that shows the stated reason being pending orders.

There were a lot of glitches during the order attempts just after midnight on pre-order day as you all know, I had to go through several checkout attempts before finally getting through without error.

Strange indeed. I can concur there were a lot of preorder issues online, from speaking With an online Apple Specialist.

Well, here's what I discovered.

It appears that as a result of the multiple errors that occurred during the pre order evolution, that I may have ended up with a duplicate order. It looks likes an order on Sep 9th that was cancelled on Sep 14. However, I finally noticed that there is a two digit difference in the order numbers, and I may still have a Sep 9 order that is open for an iPhone that is about to ship and a Watch that is processing. So unless Apple creates different order numbers to cancel a previous item, the entry for the 14th is in fact, cancelling a duplicate that I didn't know existed.

I think.

And of course Apple cancelled the order that was going to ship first, moving delivery back a week.

That said, the item that we really need is an iPhone 6s Plus 32GB to replace an old iPhone 5 that is out of battery life. Surprisingly, the 6s Plus 32GB shows available for pickup at my local apple store tomorrow, so I ordered the 6s Plus again and selected pick up at my local store.

I was still surprised to see that it is showing available for pick up tomorrow, a day before the onslaught of buyers for the 7 descend upon every Apple iPhone vendor in the free world. If I get a shipping notice tomorrow on the Sep 9th pre order, I'll finally know what happened and will cancel the in store pickup.

So who knows, maybe it will all work out. Worst case, we'll get the 6s Plus and Apple loses as Watch Series 2 sale.

Or I'll get nothing a like it. :)
