Apple Now Offering Free Next-Day Shipping for Last-Minute Holiday Shoppers

Apple today upgraded its free holiday shipping offer (via 9to5Mac) for online orders in the United States to include next-day shipping on all of the company's major in-stock products. The move will help last-minute shoppers make sure they receive their gifts in time for the Christmas weekend.

The deadline for free next-day shipping is tomorrow and the offer is good on all major products with the exception of the iPhone 4S, which is in short supply and for which the holiday shipping deadline has already passed, and engraved iPods and iPads. Build-to-order Macs are also no longer available in time for delivery before Christmas.

Apple announced late last month that it would extend its usual free shipping offer to include orders under $50 leading up to the holidays. The company last week bumped the offer up to free 2-3 business day shipping for its major products, making an increased effort to capture shoppers' business as time began to run short.

My $2000 order to Canada didn't give me this option. It said the 28-29th.
But that was three engraved ipads.
 
Yes, yes, yes, free shipping. What we really need on this site is more articles about patent litigation.
 
I ordered a refurbished 27" 3.1GHz i5 iMac today and got the free "express shipping" option. Delivery of the iMac is scheduled for tomorrow!

This option wasn't available yesterday because i almost ordered yesterday. Glad i waited.

Awesome! Where did you see the delivery date? In the confirmation email?

I just ordered a refurbed 27" 2.7GHz iMac about an hour ago with Express Shipping, but the delivery date on the Order Status page is Dec 22. I'm hoping for tomorrow though!

Jason - before i ordered the iMac, the checkout page listed Dec 21st as the delivery date if i used the free express shipping option. :)

after i placed the order i received an email confirmation which also listed the 21st as the delivery date. AND i just got an email confirmation that the iMac just shipped :)

i guess "express shipping" is the same as next day? i dont know. all i know is i got free shipping and its coming tomorrow!
 
I just ordered a 27" Display from France and I haven't got that option. It's in stock but it says delivery on the 27th.
 
Can't wait for xmas is almost here since I will be opening my CoD MW 3 game and installing it on Windows bootcamp on my iMac

I ordered a refurb iMac earlier this evening and even though it originally said it would be Two Day, when I got the confirmation that it was shipped it was marked as Next Day (so I'll get it tomorrow, Wednesday). So yes, I'd say refurbs are definitely included!

I ordered a computer on the 19 and it still has not shipped, needed to get it to destination by tomorrow.

The overnight shipping claim is pretty bogus. When I ordered they said it would be delivered 20-21 and now they are saying 22-23

Overnight shipping does not mean much when you have to wait a couple of days to process an order.
