If you purchased an iMac, iPod, PowerBook, or PowerMac recently, Apple is now allowing you to trade in your product for a newer model.

The above website states that Apple is "offering customers the option to select one of our new products" and that "you may change your order or request a return using this web site."

It appears that shipped and arrived items can be traded in as well (most likely as long as it has not been opened or damaged).

Its called the "Self Service Transition Program" and features the same logo as the iPod Shuffle.

Yeah, this is front page type stuff!
 
I don't mean to be a skeptic, but...

The web site linked shows the location as the main Apple tab. The root abs.apple.com says it's Apple Business Intelligence, but no other information or links are evident. I also did several searches on the Apple site for the word "transition" to no avail. No page or information like this appeared from my searches.
