Apple OK'd returning my 40 day old iPad 3 bought

I called in today to see what the official return policy was since a lot of places said 14 days and online said 30. they said that a lot of people are really pissed about what happened today so they are making a lot of exceptions.

I will be going to an apple store tommorow to return mine for store credit

If you are really bummed out give Customer Relations a call and maybe they can help you out.

Same thing happened with my buddy in Houston. He bought his iPad 3 at the Apple store 46 days ago and they went ahead and took it back and gave him store credit today. I was pretty surprised they took it back but was nice of them nonetheless.

What if i bought it elsewhere other than apple? Because it has been 31 days and the other store won't take it...will apple?

lol made me think twice before calling. But they are closed now, I guess there's no harm in asking? will try tomorrow morning and report back.
