I have an old Apple Legacy account which is used for my purchases, through this I have bought the Apple One Package which includes 2tb iCloud Storage. I have added my main Apple ID (where photos and documents are) to use the 2tb storage purchased through Apple One.

Now I am nearing the end of my 2tb, I noticed that I can buy another 2tb storage to add to my main apple account. My question is, will adding an additional 2tb through my main account stack to 4tb on top of the 2tb purchased through my Apple One legacy id, given that 2tb is pointed at my main Apple ID?

The option after this would be the 6tb storage which is way more than I need at the moment.

I assume your situation is that, legacy account A bought the 2TB Apple One plan, and the account B with photos and documents joined the family plan to share the 2TB storage.

According to Apple support document, only account A could buy more storage space on top of Apple One plan, and the additional space will be shared by the entire family.
