If I get an iPhone 6 replacement under the one year limited warranty, do you think the genius staff member will let me choose a different colored iPhone?

They won't. I've tried it. Unless they were out of your color phone which I doubt because they always have plenty replacement phones in stock.
Okay. When you requested a color change, was the genius employee nice to you? I would just be grateful for the replacement cause I don't want to push beyond my limitations.
They probably won't but asking/requesting won't hurt either. You may just get lucky.
I've gotten maybe 4 replacements over the years and have always asked with the same answer. All Genius employees were very nice. I also had Apple Care but that doesn't make any difference in this type of request.
It will always be a same for same replacement. Only in extreme and very rare circumstances would you get a different model phone, color, or capacity.
