Apple online preorder question

When I go to order on apples website on Friday morning, will it show what's available and what will be back ordered?

Uhm, yes? I think that's how "internet ordering" generally works.

I wasn't sure if they'd take all pre orders and fill them first come first served as stock comes in or label them as out of stock when the day 1 batch had been claimed.

Depends on when you order it. If you are on real early...it may not, since the server/whatever has to process all the orders and compare them to availability.

Eventually, assuming demand outpaces stock, you will begin to see what is available and what is backordered.
